R&D Dewald Productions is a Los Angeles based production company formed by mother daughter team Rebekah and Demetrëa Dewald.

Rebekah Dewald is a multidisciplinary filmmaker with a passion for bringing underrepresented voices to the forefront of her work by exploring the human political connection and the power of art. Prior to working in film she was a mixed media painter and photographer. Her illustrations were published by HarperCollins for She Who Dwells Within: Feminist Vision of a Renewed Judaism. As a queer director, writer, and producer, she has created a range of innovative films, installations, and videos that challenge societal norms and explore the complexities of the human experience. Working in the partnership of The Ladies Dewald, Rebekah has created a multitude of projects from feature films Let The Record Show and External Living to video installations including Who Loves You?, Is and The (red) Ribbon Project.
Her films and video works have been presented in the United States and Europe. Rebekah’s installation work has been commissioned by galleries in NYC and LA, including La MaMa (NYC) and Future Tongue (LA). Her award-winning feature documentary Let the Record Show screened at numerous museums and festivals including Hallwalls and Leslie-Lohman Museum of Art. It continues to serve as an educational resource in universities in the United States and England.
Demetrëa Dewald

Demetrëa Dewald is a multidisciplinary filmmaker and video artist with over 15 years of experience. Her work spans feature films, shorts, documentaries, music videos, video installations, and commercials, with a focus on the human condition through a diverse lens. She is known for her love of cinema and her ability to innovate by applying the lessons she learned from the masters of filmmaking.
An award-winning editor and director, Demetrëa is recognized for finding the heart and pulse of every project, no matter its size. Her notable works include Let The Record Show, Full Tilt Boogie, the Composers Project, and the Story of the (red) Ribbon Project, earning her multiple Best Editing awards and prestigious grants, including Art Matters Foundation and Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Her work has been featured in festivals, museums, and universities around the world. She shares her passion for filmmaking through mentoring emerging filmmakers, by contributing to programs like The Different Women Network.
In addition to filmmaking Demetrëa is also a stand-up comedian under the stage name Meme D. Through comedy she continues her exploration of story and how our unique experiences can bring us together through humor and understanding, she also tells a lot of jokes about chess and cats.
